GSG MEETING
in KOREA
Registration is currently delayed due to consultations with local governments in Korea regarding GSG.
We will provide another update once registration begins.
The Goose Specialist Group (GSG) of IUCN seeks to strengthen contacts between all researchers on migratory geese populations in the Northern Hemisphere by organizing regular scientific conferences and stimulating research on population dynamics of geese. A vital moment for the sharing of knowledge is the biennial group meeting, in which scientists, conservation experts and nature managers come together to discuss urgent conservation issues and new scientific breakthroughs. These meetings are truly international, bridging knowledge exchange between experts, especially in Europe and Asia, and with guests from America as well. To facilitate participation from both European as well as Asian countries, the meetings are organized in turn between a European and Asian host country. After a previous meeting in Czech in 2025, the upcoming meeting will be hosted in the Republic of Korea, Seosan at January 2027.
